birdie’s afraid of things. she’s a little scared of her parents (who isn’t?), and who doesn’t have a memory or two they’re terrified of they’d rather avoid thinking about? she’s even a little afraid to tell her girlfriend, lin, that she’s Autistic… not that anyone could ever really be afraid of lin. fortunately (for everyone!), birdie has her supportive, devoted therapist, sy, to help her get to the root of all of these pesky fears.

in her sleep, birdie's on a journey through a dark, enchanted forest, her childhood haunt turned dreamscape playground. and like any good forest, this one boasts a beast or two.

but when birdie stumbles upon a pretty little gingerbread house tucked nice and neat in this temple of trees, she wonders if she’s finally found a place she can be safe… just as long as she doesn’t lose track of the wolves at the door.
